Twelve IATA member airlines have taken the lead to implement electronic air waybills (e-AWB) for their air freight shipments. These 28 airlines are switching over to e-AWB as the preferred means of shipping cargo to all destinations,
In Switzerland the e-AWB processes have been defined in SOPs (see tool kit) which were agreed for each of the Swiss international airports.
